Josh Benoit, Assistant Professor of Biology Awarded 2018 Sigma Xi Young Investigator Award

The Young Investigator Award recognizes excellence in research by a junior faculty member and UC’s chapter of Sigma Xi has been making the award since 1982. Benoit is being honored for his outstanding work on the physiological and molecular bases for stress tolerance and reproduction in arthropods, including ticks, bed bugs, and tsetse flies. In addition to being a rigorous and highly-productive scientist, Josh was also nominated for being a generous team player and excellent mentor to his students.
